Accommodations Ta Shing is known for its beautiful teak
interior joinery work. The interior of the Tashiba 31 is exceptionally warm
and inviting with a solid teak and holly sole. The owners cabin is forward
featuring a large V-berth with filler. The original cushions have been
replaced with a hypoallergenic "Latex Plush" mattress and custom fitted
sheets. There are shelves on either side including a cedar-lined closet to
port sith a removable shelf. There is additional storage under the berth
including drawers. The head with incorporated shower is next aft to
starboard. The salon features straight settees to port and starboard with a
fixed table that folds down when underway. The salon cushions were replaced
in 12/02 with high-quality foam covered with beige ultrasuede. The galley is
aft to port, nav station w/ generous chart table and quarter berth aft to
starboard.

Hull and Deck The fiberglass hull has a cut away full
keel. The teak decks have been well maintained and are still in good shape.
There is no evidence of leaks from inside the boat. Both the overhead
hatches have been replaced with Bomar cast Almag reinforced hatches.

Sails and Rigging All the standing rigging was replaced in
2000 with 9/32 rigging wire with StaLok eyes on the bottom. The
non-self-tailing mast winches were replaced with (2) Lewmar self-tailing
winches. All mainsail blocks were replaced with Schaefer 8-series stainless
ball-bearing blocks. Foot blocks and jib blocks were also replaced with
Schaefer blocks and Schaefer snatch blocks were added. All running rigging replaced. Complete offshore cruising sail
inventory by Schattauer Sails.
